Nashville, Tennessee - A very special Christmas  concert is being taped October 26, 2009, at 7 p.m. at the Grand Ole Opry  House. This annual event will be hosted by Lt. Gen. John Stenner,  Commander, Air Force Reserve Command and Nashville's own dynamic duo,  Charlie Chase and Lorianne Crook. The concert is appropriately called  Holiday Notes From Home and the free tickets are an early present to  anyone who wishes to attend. The show will be taped live and features  performances from Amy Grant, Take 6, a surprise performer and the Band  of the Air Force Reserve with special guests the Air Force Strings.
Members of the United  States Air Force and Air Force Reserve, Arnold AFB, Tenn., Tennessee Air  Force Reserve, service members from Fort Campbell, Ky., and the  Tennessee Army & Air National Guard will be invited as special  guests and will join with the participating artists to send heartfelt  holiday greetings to our soldiers and their family members who are  serving around the world. Holiday Notes From Home will air multiple  times on the Armed Forces Radio and Television Network during the  Christmas holidays.                             
The entertainment line-up  for this concert embraces all genres of music and is certain to have  something to suit everyone's musical tastes.
                             During her long career,  Amy Grant has won numerous awards, including six Grammy Awards and more  than 20 Dove Awards. Her most recent Grammy win was for Rock of Ages . .  . Hymns & Faith (2005), which also won a Dove Award for the  Inspirational Album of the Year. Amy has released four best selling  holiday collections, A Christmas Album in 1983, Home for Christmas in  1992, A Christmas to Remember in 1999, and a Christmas greatest hits  package, Christmas Collection in 2008. Her Christmas tours have become  "must-see" holiday events.
                             Take 6, the most awarded  vocal group of our time, boasts 10 Grammy and 10 Dove awards, including  three Grammy nominations and one Dove nomination for their most recent  release, The Standard. They plan to release a new Christmas collection  in 2010, to compliment their holiday CDs, He is Christmas (1991) and We  Wish You a Merry Christmas (1999). Their holiday harmonies are certain  to sparkle as brightly as any star at the top of your holiday tree.
                             Tickets are free and the  event is open to everyone who wants to hear great music while showing  their support for our military. If you have a loved one serving in the  military, bring a sign to show pride for your friend or family member.  Tickets are available at the door beginning at 4 p.m. on the day of the  show. The audience will need to be seated by 6:45 p.m.
